As physicians, we strive to treat the entire person, not just their symptoms. Yoga's integration of the mental, physical, and spiritual dimensions of human life is helpful to patients struggling with distorted cognition's or pain syndromes. Yoga poses help to align the head and spinal column; stimulate the circulatory system, endocrine glands, and other organs; and keep muscles and joints strong and flexible. In our wellness center, it is our goal to assist each student's quest for personal health and well-being through yoga and related mind/body practices.
Open Level Yoga
Our class is designed for students at all levels and proficiency. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner, experience a flowing practice of
postures linking breath, movement and balance between body and mind. Class will include traditional poses, breathing techniques, and guided relaxation. Reduce stress as you develop flexibility and balance.
Pilates /
Yoga
An upbeat class that
combines yoga and pilates to build core strength, balance, and
flexibility. The class is a combination of the slow controlled breathing
and stretching of yoga with core tightening and strengthening. Emphasis is on
core strength and stabilization.
Stretching
The benefits of stretching are endless! This class offers personalized, focused stretching to increase range of motion, heal troubled muscle areas, improve circulation and oxygen supply to the body, and on and on...a class that benefits all aspects of health!
